Visit us at the DEA exhibition stand at the EAGE in Madrid

DEA will be an exhibitor at the 77th EAGE Conference & Exhibition 2015 in Madrid from 1 to 4 June 2015.

Thursday, 4 June 2015

5,500 professional visitors in three days. Today is the last day of the EAGE event so it’s time to summarise! We and the organisers are highly satisfied as the number of EAGE visitors has been very good. So far 5,500 visitors have been counted during the three days of the trade fair and conference.

Today, Christian Henke and Ahmed Hassan will be presenting a case study from Egypt, where DEA has been actively engaged as an E&P company for over 40 years now: “A Geophysical Workflow for Effective Prospect Assessment – A Case Study from Gas Exploration Onshore Nile Delta, Egypt” will be delivered in Room N101 of the conference and is available for download here.

And tomorrow the workshop “Interpreting the Uncertain Seismic Image” will be held by our colleague Matthias Riede together with industry partners.

Come and meet the experts! Day 2 of the EAGE, DEA is of course once again participating in the technical programme of the conference. In the afternoon, Thomas Bartels will be presenting his topic “VSP Measurements used as a Tool for Sub Salt Near Field Development (17:20, Room N104). Here is the download link for the paper for those who cannot benefit from a live experience.

At the DEA exhibition stand today, visitors will have the opportunity to experience four exciting presentations on operational topics from the DEA world.

The DEA booth is extremely popular amongst the trade fair visitors. In addition to comprehensive information at our topic islands 'Drilling', 'EOR' and 'Environmentally sustainably E&P', visitors can also take part in the challenging contest game 'Do you know your rocks?'. Or they can simply come around for a cup of coffee and engage in shop talk with the DEA experts on current upstream industry topics.

We have pleasure in sharing our expertise! The first conference and trade fair day is still in full swing, and our DEA colleagues have already given various lectures: At noon today we had the ePoster “Reservoir Delineation by Applying a Nonlinear AVO Technique – A Case Study in the Nile Delta” by our DEA colleagues Philipp von Wussow and Christian Henke as part of the technical programme (available for download here).

In addition, in the course of our daily Booth Presentations, Thomas Bartels, Christian Henke and Tillmann Roth presented interest trade fair visitors our expertise in the fields of “VSP measurements” and “Environmentally Sustainable Oil Production” and gave an insight to DEA’s successful exploration in the Egyptian Nile Delta.

The 77th EAGE in Madrid has opened! On Monday evening the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers hosted an icebreaker event. Tapas and cool drinks have already attracted many specialised visitors to the trade fair, and there already was plenty of action at our exhibition stand as well.

DEA is present at one of the biggest events for geosciences with a stand for the very first time. This is where visitors can experience the “new DEA” and gain insights into DEA's expertise extending along the entire upstream value chain.

Our DEA colleagues are looking forward to the next few days, consisting of interesting talks and exciting presentations on our technical highlight topics at the DEA exhibition stand.

The EAGE is held annually and is one of the biggest and most comprehensive geo-scientific events across the globe. Over 7,000 experts attend this trade fair to obtain information on the latest developments in the fields of geology, geophysics, reservoirs and petroleum engineering.

DEA will have a presence with an exhibition stand at the EAGE for the very first time. In addition, the technical programme will include specialist lectures by DEA employees along with a workshop on the subject “Interpreting the Uncertain Seismic Image”, co-organised by a DEA expert.
