DEA Finance SA (the “Issuer”) announces that it has issued a notice for the conditional redemption (subject to the satisfaction or waiver of the Issuer’s own Conditions Precedent (as defined below)) of all of its €400,000,000 outstanding 7½% Senior Notes due 2022 issued pursuant to an indenture dated October 5, 2016 (the “Notes”).

Successful Zama appraisal well and production test

The consortium of offshore Block 7 has successfully carried out a further appraisal well, including production testing. Hydrocarbon flow of well “Zama-2 ST1” achieved a rate of 7,900 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d). DEA holds a 40% share as partner in Block 7.

Sierra acquisition completed

The acquisition of 100% of the shares of Sierra Oil & Gas by DEA Deutsche Erdoel AG was completed on the 19th of March. With the deal, DEA enhances its presence in Mexico and its long-term commitment to the country’s oil and gas industry. Mexico’s National Hydrocarbons Commission (CNH) and the Federal Economic Competition Commission (COFECE) have approved the transaction.

Next Milestone for West Nile Delta

DEA and operator BP commenced production from additional two West Nile Delta (WND) gas fields, Giza and Fayoum. Gas is flowing ashore from the recently completed eight wells through new subsea infrastructure and pipelines. The West Nile Delta development has reached first gas from the two fields on schedule and below budget. Giza and Fayoum will initially produce around 400 million cubic feet of gas per day (mmscfd) and are expected to ramp up to a maximum rate of approximately 700 mmscfd.
