Employee training and qualification
Attractive education courses not only enhance the skills of our employees but also their commitment, their motivation and their loyalty to the company. All employees – from the apprentices to the top managers – can access a wide range of internal and external training courses and seminars for their professional advancement. These relate not only to technical excellence but also to the development of social and soft skills. In view of the increased internationalisation of DEA, foreign languages and cultural training are also key to our staff development provision.
Internal development of technical and management staff
DEA places great importance on the internal development of its technical and management staff. That means that we support our employees to fully exploit their employment potential. With technical and specialist further training we expand the knowledge of our employees in their specialist fields, and in that way we promote their careers as experts.
In addition, we implemented a potential assessment process that is conducted on a regular basis. These are used to select, develop and position employees. In that way, we ensure that the existing potential of our employees is systematically exploited for the company, and co-called ‘high potentials’ are continuously developed. We enable all interested employees to take on more advanced roles. The key elements of our staff development system include tools such as an annual employee review, job rotation and systematic career and succession management.
